Site description (2000 baseline):

An old branch of the Rhine with large reedbeds (Phragmites), a gravel-pit and riverine forest.

This is an important site for breeding herons, woodland species and wintering wildfowl.

National Partial International NonePart of IBA overlaps with Nature Reserve (812 ha).
