Site description (2000 baseline):
Site location and context
A mountainous area with many cliffs, slopes dominated by maquis and
Pinus plantations. Human activities include arable agriculture, livestock-farming and hunting.
This is an important area for cliff-nesting birds, especially raptors.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are from the construction of new tracks and roads, afforestation with
Pinus plantations, disturbance from tourism and the development of mining and wind-farms.
