Site location and context

Hukou Wetland Nature Reserve is located in the southern part of Hulin City, and extends 60 km from north to south.

Key biodiversity

Non-bird biodiversity: Twenty-three mammal species have been recorded in the area, including seven nationally protected species. Nationally protected plants include Phellodendron chinense, Fraxinus mandshurica and Juglans mandshurica.

Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity

Established as a provincial-level nature reserve in 1997.
