Site location and context
A semi-arid area with non-irrigated cereal crops, open
Quercus woodland and extensive areas of low scrub and dry grasslands.
An important area for steppic species and passerines characteristic of semi-arid agricultural sites. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria:
Tetrax tetrax (100 resident individuals).
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are from illegal hunting and poisoning, overgrazing, drought and erosion
