Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
A semi-arid area mostly covered by cereal cultivation, interspersed with scrub. The main human activities are arable cultivation and hunting.



Key biodiversity
This is an important area for steppic species and passerines characteristic of semi-arid agricultural sites, particularly Calandrella rufescens. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Tetrax tetrax (resident).



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threat is from agricultural intensification and expansion and illegal hunting.
