Site location and context
Located in the north of the Moscow region.
The IBA covers the floodplain of the river Dubna and includes bogs, wet forest, lakes, fens and agricultural land with grains and seeded grasslands.
Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity
23,000 ha of IBA covered by five nature reserves (Nature Monuments and Zakazniks), with 25000 ha of IBA is included in the shadow Ramsar list with the name "Dubnenski bolotny massiv" (Dubnenski murshes").
