Site description (1994 baseline)
Two small haurs largely overgrown with reeds Phragmites, on the plains south-east of Al Hayy. The haurs are fed by the Shatt Al Gharraf.
Key biodiversity
The two haurs were listed as a wetland of international importance by Carp (1980). The area was not visited by IWRB survey teams during 1968-1979.
