Site description (2000 baseline)
A large, intact area of wet meadows situated along the River Hamme, interspersed with oxbow lakes, and ditches. A bog is located in the northern part of the IBA which was formerly subject to spring flooding.

Key biodiversity
Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Crex crex (18 breeding pairs).
