Haiyangshan Nature Reserve


Site description (2009 baseline):

Site location and context
Haiyangshan extends for 70 km, with a north-south orientation. The topography is mainly low and intermediate-height mountains, with 11 peaks above 1,000 m.

Key biodiversity

Non-bird biodiversity: Animals include Felis temmincki, Macaca thibetana, Manis pentadactyla, Macaca mulatta, Viverra zibetha, Viverricula indica and Moschus berezovskii.



Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity
Established as a county-level nature reserve in 1982.
