Site location and context
Located in the northern part of Hezhou City, the IBA includes Gupo Shan and the ridges that extend to the south-east. The topography is mainly intermediate-height and low mountains with many gullies.
Non-bird biodiversity: No information.
Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity
Partially protected in the provincial-level Gupo Shan Water Resource Conservation Nature Reserve (6,550 ha, including a core area of 2,242 ha, general protection area of 2,642 ha and experimental production area of 1,483 ha).
