Site description (1999 baseline):

Located around 24 km south of Bogor. On June 2003, this area is combined with Gunung Halimun (IBA JID13) National Park and form Gunung Halimun-Salak National Park.

Non-bird biodiversity: Panthera pardus, Sus verrucosus, Hylobates moloch, Presbytis comata, Trachypithecus auratus (MacKinnon et.al. 1982, Whitten et.al. 1996)

Habitat and land use

Lowland rainforest (< 1000 m), lower mountain rainforest (1000-1500 m) and upper mountain rainforest (1500-3000 m) (Whitten et.al. 1996)

Protected areas

Merged as Halimun-Salak National Park based on SK Menhut No. 175, 10 June 2003 (Kompas, 2003).
