Site description (1999 baseline):

Located 21 km south-east of Bogor.

Non-bird biodiversity: Presbytis comata and Trachypithecus auratus (MacKinnon et.al. 1982, Nijman 1997).

The slopes of the mountain are covered by lowland rainforest and secondary forest/shrubs.Forested area begin from 600 m (Erftemeijer 1987). Although only few information already known from this site, but based on the good forest condition it is predicted that the site is important for biodiversity.

447 ha of this area declared as Recreation Park based on SK. Menteri Kehutanan No. 156/Kpts-II/1988 (Anon 1997).
