Site description (2003 baseline)
Located close to the coastal area of Kalimantan Barat province.

Key biodiversity
Although Brown-backed Flowerpecker Dicaeum everetti is the common bird in this site, but this is the only record for Kalimantan. The other species are Polyplectron schleiermacheri (only call recorded), Malaysian Honeyguide Indicator archipelagicus and Napothera atrigularis, reported from the south-eastern past of the National Park in 1980s (Holmes & Burton 1987).

Non-bird biodiversity: Nasalis larvatus, Presbytis rubicunda, Rheithrosciurus macrotis, Pongo pygmeus, Hylobates agilis, Helarctos malayanus, Neofelis nebulosa, Scleropages formosus and Tomistoma schlegelii (Scot 1989, MacKinnon et.al 1996)
