Site location and context
Tisa River is considered the largest tributary of Danube River. IBA covers a 58 km strech of the Tisa river in Vojvodina province (N Serbia) separated Bačka and Banat district. It spreading from Hungarian border on north to Mol town on the south, including a number of active and abandoned meanders, alluvial forests, swamps and few islands. In total six municipalities lies along IBA borders (Mol, Ada, Čoka, Senta, Kanjiža and Novi Kneževac).
