Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
This coastal site is dominated by phrygana and perennial crops, particularly olive-groves. The village of Galaxidi lies within the IBA. Human activities include livestock-farming, arable agriculture and hunting.



Key biodiversity
The site is important for species associated with a mixture of scrub and agricultural land.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
A change in the methods of building roofs and walls in the village would be a potential threat to Falco naumanni (`Other' threats, above).

National Partial International NonePart of IBA covered by Wildlife Refuge (Xirotri/Galaxidiou-Penteorioan, 1,300 ha).
