Site description (2000 baseline):

A large forest area (deciduous forest and Pinus plantations), with dry meadows, peatbogs, crops, rivers and small ponds.

The site is of special interest for woodpeckers, with six species breeding.

Disturbance from newly constructed roads is a threat; nesting Ciconia nigra recently failed to breed as a result of this.
