Site description (2019 baseline)
The area is situated within the Municipalities of Bač and Odžaci in the Vojvodina region. It comprises of the alluvial plane of the left riverbank of the Danube and it represents a marsh/wetland complex. This lowland area is characterised by flat or slightly undulating relief with meanders, channels, old river courses, islets and forest groves. Beside smaller parts of the IBA covered with wet meadows, reeds beds, swamps this area mainly consists of oak, poplar, willow forest communities.
