Site location and context

Main part of the IBA encompasses the watershed of the Moskva and Nerskaya rivers.

Habitat and land use

Meadows with lakes and channels which partly flood in spring.

Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity

5000 ha of IBA overlaps with the Shadow Ramsar Site "Faustovskaya poima reki Moskvi" (Faustovo floodplain of river Moscow").
