Site description (2007 baseline)
Ezogadate reservoir, which is located in the west of Aomori Prefecture, is an agricultural reservoir surrounded by apple farms and rice paddies, and Phragmites australis and Salix grow in and around the reservoir. The reservoir becomes full of water in spring while the water is drained in autumn, and the whole surface is frozen in winter.
