Site location and context
A shallow brackish lagoon with sandy beaches, dunes, marshes and reedbeds (
Phragmites).
This is an important site for breeding and wintering waterbirds.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Water pollution from domestic effluent
, urbanization, and disturbance of birds by air traffic are the main threats.
