Site description (2000 baseline)
A small wetland with abundant water-fringe vegetation. Formerly a coastal lagoon, the site now contains salt and freshwater marshes, rice-fields and reedbeds (Phragmites).
Key biodiversity
An important area for breeding herons, ducks and waders.
