Site summary
The IBA supports small numbers of the vulnerable Fairy Tern, large numbers of the near threatened Hooded Plover and more than 1% of the global populations of Chestnut Teal, Pied Oystercatcher and Sooty Oystercatcher. Sooty Oystercatchers occur in larger numbers elsewhere on the Flinders Island coast, alongside small numbers of the other species.
