Site description (2000 baseline):
Site location and context
A large tract of
Pinus-dominated dry forest, traversed by rivers and with patches of deciduous woodland. The majority of the forest is managed.
The forest supports important numbers of breeding
Coracias garrulus,
Caprimulgus europaeus and
Lullula arborea, although there have been no specific counts.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
About 400 ha within the IBA/National Park is strictly protected.
