Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
A hilly area dominated by Quercus forest. Human activities include agriculture, forestry, livestock-farming, and hunting.



Key biodiversity
This is an important site for forest species and resident raptors. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Phalacrocorax pygmeus.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Threats include the logging of mature trees, a drainage plan for the Gormos valley and illegal hunting.



Protected areas
National Partial International NonePart of IBA covered by Wildlife Refuge (Prosilio-Ronitsa/Delvinakiou, 1,525 ha).
