Site description (1994 baseline):
Site location and context
Dorudsan Dam maintains a large storage reservoir in a broad valley on the Kur river, at c.1,800 m in the southern Zagros Mountains c.70 km north-north-west north of Shiraz. No information is available on the habitats, etc.
See box for key species. An important wintering area for ducks.
Non-bird biodiversity: None known to BirdLife International.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
No conservation measures are known to have been proposed and there is no information on threats to the site.
