Site description (2019 baseline)
Alluvial area in Central Serbia along Velika Morava river. It is more than 35 km long: from Staro Selo in the south to Dragovac in the north. The area is typical flat and periodically flooded riverine ecosystem composed from Velika Morava river flow, gravel pits, riparian forests and small fields of agricultural land. River flow have large number of meanders and gravel islands. Along the borders of IBA is situated six settlements belongs to four municipalities (Požarevac, Smederevo, Žabari i Velika Plana).
