Site location and context
Located east of Desa Lunyuk Besar,



Key biodiversity
The richest habitat type for key bird diversity is lowland semi-evergreen forest between 200-1400 m asl. Follow-up survey is needed to find out the potential of this area. Flores Green Pigeon Treron floris in Sumbawa Island only recorded three times during the past 14 years. This area is one of it.

Dry deciduous forest and lowland semi-evergreen forest (Trainor et.al.2000)



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Illegal timber cutting and infrastructure development (Trainor et.al 2000). Mining exploitation by PT Newmont Batu Hijau might threat the biodiversity in this area.



Protected areas
Proposed as a conservation area (Trainor et.al 2000).The current status of this site is protected forest (61000 ha).
