Site description (2000 baseline)
A natural lowland lake in the Verkhnyaya Tersu river valley, dominated by reedbeds Phragmites and meadows. Human activities include cattle-grazing, fishing and hunting.

Key biodiversity
Breeding species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Crex crex (5-7 pairs).
