Site location and context
A mosaic of forest and lakes with open agricultural areas in the valleys.
Important for breeding species of wetland and grassland habitats. Breeding species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria:
Haliaeetus albicilla.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
American mink
Mustela vison pose a threat. Restoration of some of the lakes has begun, resulting in an increase in numbers of waterbirds.
