Site location and context
Wooded sand-dunes (with Pinus and Quercus), marshes, ponds, wet meadows and abandoned fields.



Key biodiversity
This site is important for breeding raptors as a stop-over area for migratory waterbirds.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The illegal hunting of breeding and migrating birds of prey is still common at this site.



Protected areas
National Partial International Partial600 ha of IBA covered by Nature Reserve (Etang de Cousseau, 600 ha). 600 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Etang de Cousseau, 600 ha).
