Site description (2000 baseline)
A large area of coastal meadows and adjacent waters with several small islands.
Key biodiversity
The site was also important for large numbers of staging Cygnus cygnus and Tadorna tadorna, but numbers have declined in recent years. Species listed on Annex I of the EC Birds Directive that breed at the site include Recurvirostra avosetta and Sterna paradisaea.
