Coast between Appaliarsulissuaq and Kap Atholl


Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
Steep cliffs and screes facing the sea, as well as several inland cliffs and screes. These habitats occur on the mainland and on several islands.



Key biodiversity
Internationally important site for Alle alle, which is present in extremely large numbers. Colonies extend along c.200 km of coastline.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
With the exception of a local and probably sustainable subsistence catch of Alle alle, no serious threats are known at the site.
