Site description (2009 baseline):

Site location and context
Located in the eastern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, bordering Qinghai Province in the north.

Key biodiversity

Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected mammals including Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, White-lipped Deer, Tibetan Antelope and Brown Bear.



Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity
Established as a provincial-level nature reserve (669,759 ha) in 1995.
