Site description (2009 baseline)
The Changdao Islands are also called Changshan Liedao, and they lie in the strait between the Shandong and Liaodong peninsulas. The IBA is a migratory bottleneck for birds, and more than one million birds migrate throught the islands annually. One of China’s most important bird-banding stations is on the islands.
