The site consists of heathland and grassland, arable land and woodland.
This is an important site for passage and wintering
Grus grus and breeding raptors. The site is a major migratory bottleneck, where more than 20,000
Grus grus regularly pass.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The site is seriously threatened by drainage and the construction of access roads.
