Site description (2000 baseline)
The habitat of Ceuta peninsula is partially degraded with exotic Eucalyptus and Pinus plantations. The city of Ceuta lies within the site.
Key biodiversity
The site is a major migratory bottleneck, where more than 20,000 storks and raptors regularly pass in spring and autumn, including (seasonal totals in brackets) Pernis apivorus (10,000-48,000 birds), Milvus migrans (10,000-20,000) and Circaetus gallicus (250-3,300).
