Site description (2002 baseline):
Site location and context
This IBA consists of about 50 ponds of various size situated in an agricultural landscape of the Budìjovice plateau. It is a breeding site and migration stopover for significant numbers of many waterbird species. Some of the species are concentrated in breeding colonies at some of the ponds and use other ponds and water bodies even outside the IBA as feeding grounds.
There are three small-scale protected areas within this IBA. IBA was proposed as SPA.
