The site is threatened by intensive forestry, deforestation and hunting. Part of the area is a candidate SAC.

National Low International None710 ha of IBA covered by Wildlife Refuge (Ag. Athanasios-Sipitoura/Aspraggelon-Elatis, 710 ha).
