Site location and context
A rocky plain located in the south-east of Tenerife, with some gullies supporting drought-tolerant vegetation (
Euphorbia).
The site is important for steppic birds, supporting species typical of semi-arid conditions.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Threats include the presence of a main road and electric powerlines and illegal hunting. Disturbance is likely due to weekend recreational activities.
