Site description (2000 baseline):
Site location and context
A reservoir on the River Tajo with steep banks and occasional cliffs. The surrounding vegetation comprises Mediterranean scrub,
Quercus woodland, dehesas, and some olive-groves. The main human activities are livestock-farming and hunting.
This is an important area for cliff-nesting species, particularly raptors and storks, and steppic species.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
There is some disturbance to breeding species by anglers and boats.
