Site location and context
A very shallow, nutrient-rich lake.
An important breeding site for
Chlidonias niger. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria:
Haliaeetus albicilla (non-breeding),
Crex crex (breeding).
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The site is covered by the national IBA monitoring network. There are plans to extract curative mud from the lake bed.
