Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
A rocky stretch of coast with cliffs and scattered islets close to the shore, and estuaries with mudflats.



Key biodiversity
This is an important passage and wintering area for waders and breeding site for seabirds.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are from fishing and shellfish collection. Pollution may also be a problem.



Protected areas
National Low International None543 ha of IBA covered by National Game Reserve (Cabo Busto, 543 ha).
