Site description (2009 baseline)
Cang Shan Er Hai is composed of Cang Shan mountain and Er Hai lake. The Cang Shan area is mostly above 2,000 m.
Key biodiversity
Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected plants include Taxus wallichiana, Taiwania cryptomerioides and Tetracentron sinense. Animals include Panthera pardus, Neofelis nebulosa, Selenarctos thibetanus, Ailurus fulgens, Cervus unicolor and Naemorhedus goral. Endemic fish include Cyprinus megalophtlalmus, Cyprinus longipectoralis, Cyprinus barbatus, Cyprinus daliensis, Cyprinus crassilabris, Barbodes exiguus, Barbodes daliensis and Schizothorax (Racoma) taliensis.
