Caimushan Nature Reserve


Site description (2009 baseline):

Site location and context
Located in the southern section of the Da Hinggan Ling mountains. The IBA has a high diversity of habitats, including forest, scrub, grassland, wetland, sand dunes, mountains and agricultural lands, and eight rivers flow through the area.

Key biodiversity

Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected animals include Panthra uncia, Procapra gutturosa, Felis lynx and Cervus elaphus.



Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity
Established as a provincial-level nature reserve in 1998.
