Site summary
This site encompasses an alpine valley and its surrounding slopes in the southern Alps. The valley bottom contains settlements and pastures. At low elevations, the slopes are covered by forests, changing with increasing altitude to scrub and the alpine meadows and rocky areas.
An important site for different species of a wide range of altitudes and habitats, from 700 m to alpine.
The abandonment of traditional agriculture is one of the main threats.
