Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
The site includes the Bremer section of the Wümmemarsch, an extensive grassland traversed by numerous drainage ditches. Habitats include wet forest and areas of scrub and reed Phragmites.



Key biodiversity
Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Crex crex (breeding).



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Restrictions on agricultural practice in the Hollerland nature protection area have been highly beneficial for grassland birds.



Protected areas
National Partial International PartialIBA overlaps with Landscape Protected Area and Nature Reserve. IBA overlaps with Special Protection Area.
