Site location and context

Beidagang Reservoir is located in the Dagang Area of Tianjin City, on the west coast of Bohai Bay. The circumference of the reservoir is 53.6 km, and it has an area of about 44,000 ha. The IBA also includes seasonal marshes and cultivated land near the reservoir.

Established as a provincial-level nature reserve in 1999.
