Site location and context
Bamian Shan Nature Reserve is located in the central-south section of the Luoxiao mountains, and has a central subtropical montane climate.

Key biodiversity

Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected plants include Cathaya argrophylla and nationally protected animals include Panthera tigris amoyensis.



Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity
Established as a provincial-level nature reserve (4,913 ha) in 1982.
