Site description (2000 baseline):

A stretch of the Bakhtin river valley near the villages of Bakhtin, Komarovka, Nikolaevka and Chervonuy Oskol. Habitats are dominated by grassland, with numerous lakes, ponds and marshes.

Changing agricultural practices pose a threat.
