Site description (2007 baseline)
The Bagre Biological Corridor was established in 1995 to provide a connection between the Punta Patino Nature Reserve and Darien National Park. The corridor runs along the Serranía de Bagre, a low range of hills that is mostly forested. It is adjacent to the Embera-Wounaan Comarca 2 (indigenous homeland).

Key biodiversity
Great Green Macaw was frequently observed in the area by L. Sucre (pers. comm. to G. Angehr) on an expedition to demarcate the boundaries of the area in 2007. Given the size of the area, and that it continues to be mostly forested, it may represent one of the most important areas for this species in Darien Province outside Darien National Park. There is no information on other species in the reserve, but several of the species of the Darien Lowlands EBA certainly occur.

Non-bird biodiversity: Unknown.

Acknowledgements
Lider Sucre provided observations of Great Green Macaw.
